A new kind of military branch

What if we had a military branch for highly intellectual people? This branch could be focused for assassination and espionage. They would also be responsible for weapons development and the application of science in warfare. Imagine a military branch composed of ninjas, spies, and scientists?

Just recruit people who combine all three skills. I mean, ninjas already make pretty good spies, so all we really need to do is get highly intelligent ninjas with a Doctorate in Applied Astrophysics.
We could call them the Space Cadets.

What? Me worry?

What makes you think we don't have a secret branch like this already?

this brings up an interesting inquiry:
how many people need know a secret before it is no longer a secret?
This is hard to quantify. But when enuf people know, that it's discussed on a forum of gadflies, malcontents, slackers, & retired groundskeepers, then it's no longer secret.

If I plan a surprise party for someone and let all their friends and and family know so they can be in on it but none of let the first mentioned someone know, is it still a secret from that first mentioned someone?

Kind of already exists. The Navy has the Cyber Warfare Command, along with an Intelligence division, then there is DARPA. Also, that is basically the job description of a Navy SEAL.

A branch focused on spying, secret research, and (if it's to be done) assassination?

Yea. That's the CIA.

They even have their own space program with their own re-usable orbiter (It actually just landed a week or three ago after more than a year in space).
