My doctor has prescribed “Cymbalta” for me.
Is that good/bad-?

Drug ads have to list every side effect that showed up in clinical trials. Don't assume that every person on the drug will get every side effect listed in the ad.
Antidepressants legally have to have that warning. It's called a "black box warning". That doesn't mean it'll make you suicidal, obviously. Side effects just effect a minority of patients with any drug. When I looked up the definition of “Cymbalta” this is what I found--
SUICIDAL THOUGHTS AND BEHAVIORS
Antidepressants increased the risk of suicidal thoughts and behavior in children, adolescents, and young adults in short-term studies. These studies did not show an increase in the risk of suicidal thoughts and behavior with antidepressant use in patients over age 24; there was a reduction in risk with antidepressant use in patients aged 65 and older [see WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS].
In patients of all ages who are started on antidepressant therapy, monitor closely for worsening, and for emergence of suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Advise families and caregivers of the need for close observation and communication with the prescriber [see WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS].
Cymbalta (Duloxetine Hcl): Side Effects, Interactions, Warning, Dosage & Uses
What I find funny about this is the fact that I tried to commit suicide by jumping off a second floor balcony. As you can see, it didn't work. Having said that and knowing that my doctor knew about this incident, I now wonder why he subscribed "“Cymbalta”"-?
Because all antidepressants have the same warning. When I looked up the definition of “Cymbalta” this is what I found--

You been taking them for how long?In closing, I still take the pills and I add, they work. Or at-least I don't have those tendencies anymore. Maybe its just me changing and the pills have nothing to do with it; who knows, still I take the pills.
Everybody here, I wish you and yours the best.
bye
Someone who had depression - or other mental conditions- to the point of being incapacitated may have suicidal thoughts but an inability to act on them. As they get better - through drugs or other means - they can go through a period where their suicidal ideation might have improved but not disappeared while they also feel less incapacitated. During this period, the person can still want to kill themselves at times but be more able to do the things they want. They’re on the path to managing their condition, but it’s a risky time where they can need monitoring and help. When I looked up the definition of “Cymbalta” this is what I found--
