Sounds like you are full of yourselves, I thought the old testament or Torah was supposed to teach you humility. Sounds like you didn't learn that fundamental lesson.

Although I don't agree with everything you said I do not think people really understand why Israel is what it is today.

If you are boxed in a corner you either capitulate or come out fighting, Israel came out fighting for the reasons you stated, its not always been pretty but 6 wars against the odds is impressive.

For me Israel is an oasis in a sea of ****, your neighbours are kind of used to living that way, when you see a palastinian mum send their kids off to martyrdom with glee too many don't see that only what Israel does in response.

Self-aggrandizing, "us vs. them" tribalism is not appealing or convincing regardless of whether it comes from Jews, Muslims, Christians, atheists, or anyone else. Maybe you missed that before making your post about the "5,778-year-old mission."
