How about the flood myth then?

What about it?
In modern terms we could say the Ark was a "lifeboat", packed with billions of tiny DNA samples..:)

But once again, we know that fails.

In fact it is one of my favorite arguments since it tends to drive creationists nuts. They do not even understand it:

The fact that it is an urban myth that tales of people waking up in an ice filled bathtub in a seedy motel on the wrong side of town refutes the Noah and his magical boat story.

Think science, mate..;)
Here's an extract from 'Scientific American'-

"Noah’s spacecraft does not need to carry samples of all forms of terrestrial life. There is no reason to build a huge craft that will carry humans, elephants, whales, birds and so on. Thanks to modern science and technology, the craft could be small—a CubeSat containing an advanced computer system with artificial intelligence that stores the complete DNA information of all species on Earth.."

I was thinking science. You are grasping at straws.

Sounds a bit simplistic. How does that DNA "come together" to begin the process of building an organism? What womb, or egg, provides the shelter and nutrients to permit that building?

How many copies of each DNA sample? If only one of each species, you've got an instant problem with drift as siblings mate with one another.

Literalists will tend to grasp at anything that seems to support them. Nor did he understand my refutation. Or even ask how it refuted his beliefs. You would think that if God somehow repopulated the Earth after the Flood using some sort of special "God technology" aka magic. that there would be some details in the story.
