It's finally Friday. Work week was a bit trying. During a few spare moments I look at cat gifs.

That is an adorable gif!

I had a gastritis attack.... burned my thumb on the spaghetti sauce while making the sauce.... and the youngest's boyfriend is being a twit.
But tomorrow.....Wing Chun

Sorry to hear about the bad things.

Wing Chun as in the martial art?

Whatcha up to? What's going on in life?

I have been on summer break since Monday, the 29th. On Wednesday night, very late at night, I sat in a chair at a really nice park talking with my dad on Skype for over two hours. Yesterday in the late afternoon, I ate at a local Indian restaurant. I had palak paneer, butter naan, and a mango lassi. The people who work there are kind and friendly, and I let them know how much I appreciate them. I go back to work this Monday.

I notice the forums are awfully slow today. Not many alerts.

So, as always, when I don't know what to say but I feel like talking, I ask...

Whatcha up to? What's going on in life?

This morning - 8am - 30 minute live “morning glory” - youtube.
then - breakfast with friends as we plan out my 50th wedding anniversary evening
Make a hole to a piece of metal to hold a uhaul for a friend who was leaving today
After - met with the head of the mission team that just returned from Honduras
Got home - and left to have soup at my daughters house (chef - my granddaughter) delicious - some fellowship
stretching
And now going to med to see a movie with my wife

:)

What have you been doing?

Busy day for me. I hooked my trailer up to my bike this morning because I had a lot of running around to do, forgetting that one of the tires (on the trailer) was flat. :p

I decided to go ahead and ride it like that all day anyway and I got everything done that I needed to. But my knees are going to be screaming at me tomorrow.

The good news is while I was looking at the flat tire it reminded me that I needed to fix my front brakes, I mean if I was planning being able to stop today.

It was hot here today too and for some reason they had all the showers at the University shut down except for my super secret backup shower. :D

So I just got home, drenched in sweat, but happy because I got so much stuff done today and stocked up on so much of everything I needed I won't have to leave again until Sunday.

So I'm glad the forums were slow today. Less to do here, which is exactly what I feel like doing: less.

Just the normal. Go after kid here. There. Everywhere. Up. Down. Around.

You reminded me I need to put air in the tires of the car...

Nice! My dad knows that martial art. He learned it from an instructor who learned it from Bruce Lee. He taught me some of it when I was little, but he decided not to teach me any further when I was 13 or 14. Way later on, he told me it was because he had perceived that I was on ‘the dark side of the Force.’

I've trained with a couple guys (Jeet Kune Do) whose teacher's teacher was Bruce Lee. I'm too old and slow for JKD these days so Wing Chun is what I work on now. I've been in martial arts for over 50 years, probably too old to keep going, but I am an martial arts addict so.......

Morning at the dog park as usual followed by morning tea and chocolate. Some exercises. A bit of catching up on what's what including crap like this “My Heart Broke”: Mom Has Her Kids Barred From Entering Library Due To New Bill Lunch. Volunteer IT work looking at Veeam Backblaze cloud backup. Going over our ticketing system with someone is going to help us improve it. A bit of RF. Dinner. Oh yes, a nap in the middle along with some yard work. Dinner. TV (British Celebrity Antiques Road Trip). Deciding that I could no watch "Spock's Brain". Playing video games on my phone and on my computer. Back to RF now. Then some meditation, teeth brushing and sleep.

Lots of reading this week. Needed a good escape from this miserable humidity and the blues of yet another funeral to attend. So what do I pick up? A suspense trilogy of cold cases and activities of pure "sickness" by mobsterly white supremacists. Nice reminder that things COULD be worse!:)

Yesterday was one of those rare occasions where I didn't do anything but check notifications.

I drove two hours to Cleveland in the morning for a dentist appointment, stopped at the Indian grocery while I was there to pick up some Hyderabadi Biryani Rice (my granddaughter's current favorite), drove forty minutes in the other direction to check up on the progress of the body work on my truck, drove to Walmart to pick up some groceries, and then came home and wrapped presents for my granddaughter's third birthday party (which is today).
