A Thelemite that I know is curious if anyone knows astral projection?

Hey guys, Iv'e came into contact with a Thelemite. He and I were chatting on skype, we kindve had a few rough edges. I talked him into signing up on RF, but he tends to be scared on going to forums. He wanted me to ask some of you guys if many of you know astral projections. I was wandering if some of you occultists have the knowledge of astral projection? I myself do not. (note) Please stay on the topic and don't go off subject. I would like your opinions to be objective and clear. I am sorry if I may had posted this on a wrong thread but I felt like it might make some sense.

I have a general idea, but I don't have too much experience. Its a sort of deep visualization, you project yourself into a place where you are not. Some say you're only visualizing, others say you are literally transporting your soul/energy/essence/whathaveyou there. People use it to contact the gods, the dead, or simply travel. It takes intense focus and deep meditation, and don't forget practice.
