Forensic Psychiatrist Dr. Michael Welner on THE VIEW 12/17/12 - YouTube

He has nothing good to say about the video game medium. It is most likely he doesn't recognize the medium as a form of art. Do you think he is the next Jack Thompson?

Jack Thomson's influence was relatively minor.

I think the age when Night Trap, a game with nary a drop of blood nor single nip-slip, and whose goal is to save the girls trapped in a house with monsters, is mistaken for some kind of pornographic gore-fest where the goal is to rape and kill the girls, is over.

The US Supreme Court has already ruled that video games are protected under the First Amendment, and the game that was the focus of the trial was Manhunt: a game that's actually deserving of its reputation as a murderous gore-fest and disturbing content.

Video games are the devil's high-heeled shoes that he uses to do a tap dance on your skull until your brains are squashed into little more than an evil omelet. Trust me! The aliens who abducted me told me that.

You know, I bet it's the hours of playing Pac Man at the arcade when I was a kid which caused my addiction to popping pills today.

And now that I'm thinking about it, I find myself killing bugs in my house all the time - I'm sure Centipede is to blame.

Meh. Did you check your brains this morning? Are you sure they're not squished into an evil devil's omelet?

I'm waiting to see the effects of playing Primal Rage. Heck, I would settle for Star Fox.

Also, apparently not too many girls played Tomb Raider. Or maybe I should be thankful for whatever group did.

I think aliens did a bit more than "abducting" to you.

More worried about whether any of the world's politicians grew up playing Civilization, and if so, which end game victory were they aiming for.
