My dear friends, today, January 3rd, 2009 is the official ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of my sobriety.

It has been a long, tough and trying fight, but as of this moment I am finally, officially DRUG FREE for one entire year. 12 years of struggling, debilitating, financially and emotionally draining drug use is finally behind me and I am CLEAN! I never thought I'd make it through the first week (some of you may remember that difficult week a year ago), but here I am, 52 weeks later and I am still going strong.

The withdrawals are past. The cravings have become nothing more than the tiniest of itches and I can even watch movies with the characters smoking rock or snorting blow without ripping my hair out and biting my lips until they bleed. It is completely, 100% in my PAST and I am so happy this day is finally here.

I never thought I'd make it. No one else ever thought I'd make it, but here I stand laughing in the faces of my former dealers and those people I called friends only when we were holding, who said I'd never do it, that I'd be back in due time, and give them a big fat finger because HERE I AM! Haha!

Anyway, celebrate along with me, my friends, because a lot of this celebration is because of you. There are those among you (you know who you are) who were my only guiding light through my first struggling weeks where my body shook so much from withdrawal that I could barely type coherently. And to those of you who've kept me strong and warm and searching and fighting to make it to this year mark. Those who've kept me sane, safe, clean and on the right track with my eyes on the prize.

It was YOU who helped me to get here. And I love you more than you will ever know, or ever understand.

Thank you!!

YAY!! Wooo for me!!!!!

Congradulations, thats a hard journey but the destination is truly worth it,well done
