Abortion is never justifiable, even in rape cases

Well yes, obviously. However, this doesn't change the fact that if He really had

This guy is a very good example of the reason that opposition to religion should be considered a civic duty, isn't he?

The lack of compassion is appalling.

No...he's an example of why fundamentalism of any flavour should be opposed at every turn. This includes any consideration that one group should be able to control and coerce another group based on ideological purity.

How are you when you get the Stalin = atheist comparison thrown at you?

If God could have kept her from being raped, then it must be clear, due to the fact that she did get raped, that God wants her to be raped.
If God could have kept her from having an abortion, then it must be clear, due to the fact that she did have an abortion, that God wants her to have an abortion.
If God could have kept her from putting the spicy salsa on her taco, then it must be clear, due to the fact that she burned the crap out of her mouth, that God wants her to get the chilli-sweats.

I actually think this could make a decent thread in the Jokes section. Doesn't carry much weight in a debate though.

Indeed, every lame comment deserves a lame response.

Sometimes an eye for an eye is the appropriate response.

Personally I will take a body for an eye if the situation calls for it. Beauty of evolving path with no dogma is you don't feel the guilt for living in an ever-changing reality with modern issues.

I have shown more compassion today than you will show in a lifetime.

Bah, humbug!

You value what starts out as not much more than an infection more than an unfortunate woman faced with an unwanted pregnancy.

You value your self-righteousness more than actual persons, already here and suffering.

If you are so against abortions, what do you think of your god who evidently arranged things so that there are daily millions of spontaneous ones?
