Acorn - "How To Be A Ho"

Is it just me, or are these two videos eerily similar?

Next question- where's the media coverage on this? (Acorn, not Velvet Jones!)?

VELVET JONES FOR PRESIDENT! Change we can believe in!
Hehe. I know, I know. "Be a Ho!"

Ok, I do have to admit that this adds a certain new and quite unexpected meaning to the phrase "stimulus package".

I was staggered that they were not laughed out of the office. What occurs to me is if they suggested tips to such a blatant setup, then what kind of tips were they offering to regular people during the course of the day? You know, if everyone is screwing the pooch, the poor puppy is going to be dead before long... although it might have a grin on its tired little face.

ACORN should be shut down, pending a full judicial review.

Hey, you know what - the two Acorn women were fired. Maybe they can go work for Velvet Jones. I mean, they already know how to be independent contractor hos. (How do you spell that anyway - ho's, hoes, hose...dang it...)

What I also find so puzzling is that this thread and another like it have generated so little interest on RF. I don't quite get that. You would think that everyone would be up in arms that their federal government is supporting ACORN... a company that is already being investigated for voter registration fraud in several places across the country. It's like no one wants to consider that ACORN is little more than an open pit sewer.

I posted a loong time ago an article on ACORN`s voter registration problems along with it`s dubious housing history and got the same result as this thread.

Lotsa liberals here at RF.

Well, it would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Amazing how hypocritical people are. Face it - our government and our politicians are SCREWED UP - almost down to the man (or woman). Left, right - it doesn't matter.

Right now, I'm sitting here wearing a great t-shirt that says in huge yellow letters - "Tyranny Response Team."

Where do we sign up for the revolution?

Thank you. I use this word often so it's nice to know the correct spelling of the plural form.

Hey, check this out: I took this picture on a recent trip through Louisiana! (Only in Coonass land...)

Not enough T&A. Or gay people.

If the title was Acorn and Boobies or Acorn and Gay Marriage the thread would take off.

I'm joking.

I have to admit I had never heard of the group prior to the last presidential election and have not taken a closer look at them. From what little I know they do not sound like a worthwhile organization.

I did see the report on this latest incident and it doesn't look good at all.

First question would be how large is the organization? Does one incident like this represent the organization as a whole? If the organization immediately cans people who violate law can those individuals truly be representative of the organization? Similar things like that. I've heard a lot of crap about the company I work for that doesn't represent the company at all.

Hypocritical? In what way? And in what way is Acorn "the government"?

Seriously, I think you should stop watching Glenn Beck.

Yeah, I'm with you. I think the coverage it's already getting is about right for the relevance of the issue. A couple Acorn employees displayed a malfunctioning moral compass, Acorn fired these employees, and they lost a Census contract. What else is there to tell? Unless something new comes up, it's not a particularly newsworthy story...

...unless you are provoked and titillated by the fact it captures "perfect storm" right-wing talking points: illegal immigration, crime, social activism, sexual immorality, and Obama's terrifying, world-destroying, "radical" politics (however tenuously these dots are connected). I imagine Fox will be milking it from now until the end of time.

ACORN (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) is a "community service" organization that OBAMA WORKED FOR AS A LEGAL ADVISOR.

And now he's the president. So what?

I don't read Michelle Malkin. She's a retard.

"Pimp Sting" Taints ACORN, Obama Supporters | NBC Washington

ACORN is a tax-subsidized entity which has been found guilty of registering thousands of FAKE voters in the last election.

Good lord, people, get your heads out of the sand. Does the word "CHAD" ring a bell? If a Republican had won this past election and this voter fraud had been detected, we STILL wouldn't have a sitting president!

Sheeze, I'm not even a Republican but I can smell the hypocrisy from Washington wafting all the way to East Texas.

You might not consider yourself a Republican, but you do seem to respond exactly as intended to Republican talking points and smear campaigns.

I'm not arguing that what these dismissed employees did was right, I'm saying it's not an important story. This is all there is to it: 1. employee wrongdoing, 2. dismissal, 3. reputational damage for the organisation in question, including the loss of a large tax-funded contract.

The Republican propaganda-mill (eg Malkin and Beck) wants you to see more to it than that so you'll add your voice to their campaign, but there isn't any more.

BTW, with respect to registering non-existent voters, it's another "outrageous" problem the right-wing opinion factory has blown out of proportion: People who don't exist can't vote. Being fraudulently included on a voting list is no help to you if you don't exist. I think the Republican tactic of the wholesale disenfranchisement of entire neighbourhoods of people who DO exist but discover on election day they can't vote, or their vote won't be counted is far more worrying. But, that didn't get much coverage either. So, the mainstream media (apart from Fox News) seems at least to be fair and balanced, even if they don't pay unwarranted attention to your personal concerns.
