I am trying to find the right doctor or psychologist who can help me with this issue Im having.

I have a history of Epilepsy and I take medication for them. Almost recently, my vision started to go (central) and about the same time I had severe double vision and equilibrum problems to where I can sit up.We went through my meds, MRI, CAT, EMU (monitoring for new seizure activity), ER, anicronologist, ear, noes, and throat doctor, optomistist, opthomolist, low vision doctor, retina doctor, nureopthomologist, and saw a social worker for a couple of months.

I was recently refered and saw a neuropsychiatrist who told me I needed to see a psychologist with whom can help me with stress tecniques since my brain surgery made it to where I cant handle stress properly. I calld a psychologist. He said since my symptoms are organic, he cant help me.

They specilists (except for my neurologist) saw the symptoms but cant find the cause.

My neurologist fussed at me thinking I am a hypocondriac for seeing all these doctors but each eye doctor is only specialized in the eye they are trained to treat. The department of the blind said if I cant see; I cant see. The neuro fused and said "youre carring a white cain that there is no neurological need for"

and Im thinkign, what the... I dont even curse but that made me so upset. If I change hospitals I have to stay inpatient again for three days or so so they can see what my seizurs are by taking me off my meds and realizing they should have kept me on. Its painful. No outpatient neurologist want to take my case cause Im too complicated.

This is a lot but Im just at a brick wall here. Im taking care of mysef, started exercising, eating right, etc... the one vision went away the other (double vision) comes off and on. But my sugar level is fine.

Whats up with this???

Devil's Advocate here, but what if your neurologist is right? You might be a hypochondriac as he says, but your symptoms may be psychosomatic in nature (use of the cane, etc) and there really is no neurological basis for using it.

I took that into consideration. When it first happened it was almost six years ago before I used the cane. I still went to school and everything. Brother and mother saw the symptoms and my brother convinced me to call my neurologist. I called her and she changed my med to extended release and it stoped for a good couple of years. I moved north four years ago by myself and at school in the library, smack, it happened. The EMS said my sugar level was low and they gave me all this glucose. It started happening more (without the cane).

Then I started to develop to blur spots in my central vision. My friend is legally blind and she convinced me to see the optomatrist. I went a year or so later. I have 20/20 to 20/30 vision. This cant be happening to me. Then when I couldnt read and couldnt (rather) see peoples faces two arm lengths to me, I went to an optomotrist opthomologist.he said my vision jumped to 20/80. She refered me to a retina doctor (I didnt choose to) and he said the same but no retina damage. He sent me to a low vision doctor to see if I can accomondate for my symtoms until they found the cause. The eye glasses he recommended was over 300 dollars. I had to be 20/200 to get any eye related equipment.

The central vision got worse. Thats when I finally got the cane and the department of the blind said that I can use it and helped me with travel and crossing the streets since I dont know when the double vision will happen and cant see from a certain distance.

So, he said to touch base with him (opthomologist said the same). Then my neurologist refered me to see a neuroopthomologist to see if the brain surgery that made me blind in the corner of my left eye triggered a nerve in that area or something. They gave me an MRI, CAT scan, and monitored me. No tumors, thank gosh! Nothing.

She says thats all she could think of.

When I have the double vision, if I can make myself get to where I can get orange juice or lemonade the symptoms disapear (the double vision and balance) within two hours. So, I though it was my sugar. My mother has diabeties.Thats the closest in the famly you can get. My sugar level was fine. She said to watch my eating and exercise.

So I took all sugar from my deit and exercised. The central vision started getting better. Double vision spells stayed.

Then I told my neurologist and she said it was in my head. She told me to see a neuropsychiatrist she recommended. I saw him and he felt I wasnt a hypocondriac (thats obession with having an illness-literally looking for--an illness you dont have rather than opession over symptoms other people can see but cant solve.) I know I dont have a cause. Im focused on the symptoms.

So the neuropsychiatrist (psychologist who focus on trauma to the brain) said I didnt need medication and would benefit me to see a psychologist to learn to deal with stress. He said because Im still having seizure activity and still having seizures (real ones) that my brain isnt a normal brain and handles stress (and other things) differently.

I called the psychologist and he said he didnt have the expertise to help me. If Im a hypocondriac then I would find doctors myself not go to reffered ones. Theyd also not see that I have 20/80 vision and would completely disregard me about my balance. But their instruments and paperwork saw it.

The only person who doesnt believe my symptoms is my neurologist.

I know the cause isnt physical, thank gosh. But no psychologist so far wants to help me.

So Im kinda at a stand still.

You might want to look into the possibility of parasitic infection(s). Most reside in the gastrointestinal tract, liver, or pancreas, latched onto and eating away at gut walls and organs, leeching off nutrients and glucose, while dumping various toxins into the bloodstream which can affect behavior, thoughts, and cause other issues. If severely infected, many parasites can eat their way into other parts of the body, causing other serious issues.
