I just turned 35 at the beginning of the month and passed out of that 18-34 demographic prized by marketers. My tastes are now less relevant than they were a few weeks ago.
But moving into the age range loved by retailers, when disposable income starts to become greatest.
Curious. I was wondering about this a while ago, because I got the impression the age demographic here is... more to my liking. No offense to younger people, but I get tired of having discussions in boards populated mainly by teenagers and college students.

many years slipped by me.
I have many things yet to finish.
Well, a handful of things anyway,
but they are very VERY important to me.
If I do not accomplish them ...
I will have failed in the completion of my own life's mission.
I know this is not the point of the thread.
But my birthday is coming up
and it always makes me so sad.
I hate my birthdays.
It's probably the one day I least look forward to every year.
So many sad associations there.
I wish I could just get older without the world forcing me to count it.

I'm 31. I just started occasionally smoking a pipe this year...thats something old people do, right?
Ultraviolet: Come on, birthdays can be fun! Especially if you have a tradition. I always get an ice cream cake that I eat all by myself (not all in one day) and then I try to do something that I've never done, but have always wanted to do. This last birthday in December it was to learn how to smoke a pipe.

Teenagers: 13-19.
College students (typically): 18-22.
