Maureen, I'm 49 and holding - and the mother of five and grandmother of seven (and three of my kids aren't married yet - so there's no telling how many I'll end up with!). I'll be fifty in a few months and I'm very excited about it. I feel fantastic and really can't believe I'm nearly fifty.

I think my career has kept me looking and feeling young. As my kids say all the time, "They don't make grannies like they used to!" Back in the day, women our age often didn't dye their hair, and they dressed in frumpy clothes and sensible shoes.

I'm still in stilettos and though I have no idea whether my hair is still "really" red - it's going to stay red for at least another decade!

Once I realized that I was well over a billion, the thought of my mortal body being 55 didn't seem to matter so much. Heck, I'm only halfway through this sojourn, so the rest is just gravy.
