Agnostics, et al, for Scott Walker

Walker received the notice of people who were paying attention, when he, while demonstrating his integrity all along, got his small government programs implemented in spite of virulent, nationwide Democrat opposition--surviving 2 elections and a recall in the process in the VERY liberal state of Wisconsin. I can't think of any better recommendation. He's suddenly leading in many polls, and no doubt the Democrat (and establishment Republican) muckrakers are busy looking through his closet for skeletons as diligently as they avoid doing so for Democrats; and if they can't find anything I'm sure they'll make stuff up as they did for Sarah Palin.

I know that he's an a evangelical Christian, but he honors the wall of separation between church and state and knows where the line is between personal opinion in a personal context, and not promoting some form of theocracy. But even if he were a raving religious fanatic, he'd still be better than the corrupt economy/freedom crushing socialists who've been running the country and nullifying the Constitution since the 1930s.

Wisconsin is not very liberal. You're thinking of the city of Madison. Both state houses and the judiciary are all significant republican majorities.

Walker is weird. The policies he pushed through have a strong opposition by the people, like 75% opposed. He pushed them through anyway, and people vote for him anyway. The recall is one example of that. I've never seen any politician get away with going against what his constituency wants this much.

At least he is secular. I like that.

Don't know enough about Walker to comment. But I would think you're describing someone who is secular. Assuming that's accurate, then who cares what his religion is?

I think it's a decent question because his politics align pretty much 100% with evangelical christians. But he doesn't talk about religion. Kind of a weird cat in politics.

I haven't looked much into his politics, but I know many of the Evangelic-type politicians have endorsed him. Or he has endorsed them, such as he did with Ted Cruz. But his "right to work" bull is enough to recognize him the sort who would no less tan run with the Evangelic crowd.

Walker is a Baptist. His father is/was a minister. He came from Indianna or Iowa? His Grandparents are from Illinois. Both him and leutenant governor Kleifish had made trips to Israel for economic purposes. Walker still owes taxpayers $900,000.00 for his presidential run.
