Air-ionization device

I think about buying one to reduce dust in my flat.
But I read that such devices can produce dangerous amounts of ozone.
Does someone here own such a thing?

I use one from time to time and like have not noticed any ill effects ans never had any of my tree hugger friends tell me that but idk never heard that before. Do you have a source?

I live in aGerman speaking country and because I think about buying such a thing, I did a web search.
I found several sites where they say that ionizing the air produces unhealthy amounts of ozone, but they are all written in German.
