Because you have no idea what goes on, you don't know the procedures, you don't know the requirements, you don't know what's needed, you don't know the time that is mandated before things happen.
Which is why these decisions need to be made carefully with informed experts and people who know and care for the minor involved.
These decisions should not be made by uninformed politicians who are trying to preserve political power.
Nor, honestly should these decisions be made by random people on the internet like you or me.

No, "a hold until adulthood" would be puberty blocking drugs. This legislation makes "a hold until adulthood" illegal.

Lots of medications have serious risks. They should be prescribed with care by medical professionals and those taking them need to be informed of all the risks.
