Alan King Is GOD?!?!?!

Long story long-Nick at Nite is running a Murphy Brown marathon. I was aware of The Murphy Brown Show when it originally aired but I admit I missed many episodes. There was an episode that re-ran last night in which I missed the first 10 minutes but I quickly figured out that Murphy Brown was suffering a terminal medical disability and she was having some sort of Near Death Experience. I walked in where she was reviewing her physical existence and she complained that she had interviewed everyone but GOD and who shows up but well known comedian Alan King all dressed in white. Now I thought this is getting interesting, she interviews him asking why disease and suffering exists and I am listening to Alan King give some very familiar responses to her questions. Now beside that particular episode now holding a new fondness in my life I was thinking that Alan King made a fine GOD! Like many others who have portrayed GOD throughout our media’s entertainment industry who is your favorite? Who would you envision GOD to look or sound like if he/she existed? Some possibilities that I have thought of:

Favorite Movie Portrayals:

Morgan Freeman (BRUCE ALMIGHTY)

Alanis Moresette (DOGMA)

Sounding:

James Earl Jones (intensity)

John Cleese (a proper GOD)

Scary Sounding:

James Earl Jones (Intense, deep)

Orsen Wells (who I have always suspected of being God all along)

Morgon Freeman was STELLAR as God. I think he was far better than George Burns.
Morgan Feeman is a actor who demands presence. I often forget that he received his start as a cast member on PBS’s Electric Company.
