Alien societies?

Do you think that theocratic or oppressive alien societies might exist? Do you think a highly developed society that values freedom can beat a oppressive theocratic society?

When humanity finally reaches the stars would you want humanity to be a defender of freedom and have a good defense to fight off militaristic and theocratic alien races? If we are overly obsessive on defense our first contact with alien life can end up like the First Contact War from Mass Effect.

Who knows what sort of societies exist out there? Planets do seem to be common around alien stars, but, at this point, any speculation about alien anthropology, or even the existence of life, is purely speculative.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
It appears likely. Already the discovery of earthlike planets and the fact there are living organisms that can survive open space would point to the plausibility of life elsewhere.

From what I know of the UFO Field, is that there is mainly two to three versions of Government that those societies use.

The "Draconians" is rules by a very rigid caste system. If your born in a certain caste you'll never be higher than what that caste allow

THe "Pleiadians" is ruled by a group of elected leaders. Once elected the person does everything possible to make those, that elected him/her/it, lives better. it's said that each planet has it's own government with elected officials that partake in a planetary council.

then there is a third type of government that is a mix of the two. They have a very loose caste system. You live in a certain caste layer while growing up with your parents, but at the age of 14 you enter the academy, where you learn your "life skill set" (for your work later in life after the academy) there you can choose to follow another path different from the caste you were born in

(hopefully the engrish is readable, thinking in one language and translating in me head)

If humanity ever reaches "the stars" we will be the militaristic and theocratic race that needs to be fought off.

Yes.
Yes.
Yes.

I have no idea.

I am inclined to agree with Hawking tho...if we ever encounter an alien species with light travel capabilities, we are the ants, and they choose whether we are acceptable enough to eat.

That's what we do...
