I can't believe
that we've gone this far
To just to give up
America's fate to the bizzarre
We think that fight has been lost
But it's just begun
For America is too great
And our people too strong
To let a dictation
Push us around
Baying opinions
Be left on the ground
If the people say no:tsk:
To Alaskan drilling
To deforestation
To Gay marriage bans
And heavy taxation
Then our word must be heard
From the tiniest town
To the capitol of our nation
So no matter who is in the White House
The people still matter
And we'll fight till in tatters
They know what we think
And our voices ring clear
Or we sink, to the ground
Maybe the rhymes are pushing it, but the message is the same. We can't let anyone, even the President. In a nation, of the people, by the people, and for the people, we have the right to be represented. Or, we can just sit here and fume about it, knowing that things will never change.
