Allah Akbar !

maro

muslimah
Allah Akbar (Allah is the greatest ) , those little words are recited by every muslim at least 107 times during his daily prayers (if i am not mistaken ,i counted them myself ),they are also part of the Athan "call for prayer "
What do you think make those words so important ? what do you think their significance ? and what is the expected impact on the muslim by reciting those words continously ?

Hyperborean

Cultural Conservative
Grammatically, "al-lahu" means "the [One] God"; it is the inherent expression of Tawhid on whish Islam is based. Akbar is the superlative of kabir, where kabir means "great" in this context. When we put it together, to mean "God is greatest" the literal meaning becomes the affirmation that there is only one God, Allah (SWT), and that Allah (SWT) is the greatest, or without a partner.

However, the esoteric meaning does not compare Allah to anything else, because Allah cannot be compared to those things which were created; there is nothing for Allah to be greater than. The other dimension of Takbir means that Allah is too great to be perceived by the senses and too deep to be understood by the intellect. Too great, indeed, to be known by anything other than Allah.

Great info Hyperborean, as a muslim, yeah everyday we recite Allahuakbar.. during prayer time. I no need to explain about it as it already been elaborate by hyperborean. What I want to ask is how much we concern about what we say? We know its mean " God (Allah is greater) but is that what have in our heart because after praying many of us always did something against Allah and against Islam. Are we really admit that Allah is greater? Ask ourself.
