Allah will throw back their mockery on them

The phrasal verb "throw back on" has anything to do with the meaning in the following link:

Macmillan Dictionary in the link above explains it as follows:
throw someone back on something: to force someone to use their own abilities, powers etc because there is nothing else to use

To me, it sounds like Allah let them mock Islam and the Prophet, because they have nothing else(no ability, no brain, no power to be conscious of Allah and know the reality which is in Quran)

The meaning is often lost in the readers perception of the translation. Here the verse just means that their mockery will ultimately cause harm to them only.

I don't know where the "throw back on" comes from in the translation. Yusuf Ali tends to put in many words when translating that don't exist there neither does the meaning. He should have atleast put it in brackets.
