alternative names for God?

I want to be able to talk about God without people thinking I'm talking about the God of the Bible whom I don't much like and most certainly don't believe in

What could I call God instead?

I'd rather use a name, rather than a title or description

I don't want people to think I'm talking about this guy:

Good idea. Oh, and that guy's name isn't "God", it's El.
And this guy:
Caesar.jpg

His name is Gaius Iulius, not Caesar.

Doesn't the god you want to talk about have a name?

Maybe call it by its function? The Deists used to call it "the creator" or "the great watchmaker".
I'd prefer a name rather than a title or description

Also, as a Panentheist I believe it is the universe and that the universe is it, I don't see it as a being and I think those things you mentioned can only really refer to a supreme being type thing which is not what I believe in

You know, I find it really ironic that the image of the Christian god is basically plagiarized from Zeus/Jupiter. And in both cases, it's an anthropomorphic representation of said gods, not what the gods actually look like.

In any case, use what word you want. Use the word god if you want. Quite frankly, it's not like the monotheists own that word. There was a time when I was a newbie Pagan I was uncomfortable with the word "god" for similar reasons as to you. I got over it and realized that perhaps the worst thing I could do as someone reviving pre-monotheist traditions was to let the monotheists dictate what "god" means for another several centuries. Flip that, dude. Polytheism was here first.

I think it was Freeman Dyson who first used "Universe" as a proper name. There is only one of it (that we know of) and it doesn't need a category name.

You might try;

Great Spirit
Spirit of the Universe
Underlying Creative Intelligence
The Universal Mind
HaShem/The Name
The One
The Infinite and Eternal
The Mother of Creation
Keith

I have used all these and more, but tend to settle on God because what could be simpler than one syllable comprised of three letters? And it doesn’t much matter in the end, which words I use to refer to that which, to me, is a deep and sacred mystery beyond all human understanding.

Bob.

"For the love of Bob!" "For Bob's sake!" They have a nice ring to them, no?
That works!

But I was looking for something more exotic and epic sounding

Like Jarrooobaloooba but more dignified

That could work. I mean it does have b-o-b in it, so you can still call it Bob for short.

Generally speaking, if you believe in only one God aka monotheism, you use the term God with a capital G. I realize it is inconvenient, but you simply have to clarify to people that this doesn't mean you believe in the God of the Bible.

How do Zeus and Jupiter actually look?

I think that with whichever name you choose, you are still going to have to reference a title or description when you introduce it into a conversation. If you chose "Bob" for example, are you referring to Bob from accounting or Bob the Universe and creator of all things.
