"Am I a Christian" part 8 of 9

Start Point Pt 8 of 9

Point #[8] Those that don't have the Holy Spirit living in them simply die.

This is quite a unique and personal understanding of a Profound; Divinely Ordained; Justice imputed, Divine Reality. Once again it attempts to Dictate to GOD what He MUST accept. A very risky position to take, and certainly not even a Christian one.

Friend; one ONLY gets an indwelling of GOD the Holy Spirit by [1] Knowing Jesus as God [2] Knowing that His ways are the ONLY ways to salvation [3] Accepting them: …who’s in charge you or God? [4] and then living them.

Genesis 2: 6-7 “[6] But a spring rose out of the earth, watering all the surface of the earth. [7] And the Lord God formed man of the slime of the earth: and breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became a living soul.”

SOUL. The spiritual immortal part in human beings that animates their body. Though a substance in itself, the soul is naturally ordained toward a body; separated, it is an "incomplete" substance. The soul has no parts, it is therefore simple, but it is not without accidents. The faculties are its proper accidents. Every experience adds to its accidental form. It is individually created for each person by God and infused into the body at the time of human insemination. It is moreover created in respect to the body it will inform, so that the substance of bodily features and of mental characteristics insofar as they depend on organic functions is safeguarded. As a simple and spiritual substance, the soul cannot die. Yet it is not the total human nature, since a human person is composed of body animated by the soul. In philosophy, animals and plants are also said to have souls, which operate as sensitive and vegetative principles of life. Unlike the human spirit, these souls are perishable. The rational soul contains all the powers of the two other souls and is the origin of the sensitive and vegetative functions in the human being. Father Hardon’s Catholic Dictionary

So every living thing has a soul, BUT only humanity has an immortal and rational Soul similar to our Creator God’s. Only humanities Soul has the very Breath of God associated with it.

The first book in the bible; Genesis, teaches us that GOD choose to create man in “his own image.” Gen. 1:26-27.John‘s Gospel 4: 23-24 informs us that “God is a Spirit” and that we must worship Him “In Spirit and in Truth.”

God is a “Spirit” and immortal, while man is physical and mortal. How then does man emulate our God? Every human person has what I have come to term our “other self.” Only the human Soul is rational and immortal; and can never die or be killed. Certain attributes are necessarily associated with being “rational.” They are: [1] a mind {not meaning the brain} [2] The intellect {the ability to be rational} and [3] a freewill. Each of these attributes similar to God are Spiritual realities and immortal. And in this way humanity alone and exclusively does emulate GOD. If you doubt this then quantify your freewill: what is its size, shape, color and weight? This can’t be done yet it exist.

The uniqueness and significance of this finding is also critically important. The universe consist of BILLIONS of stars, planets and galaxies; yet only ONE; only planet earth can be proven to be able to support life forms. On planet earth there are many MILLIONS of living things, on the earth, in the sky and in the waters; but only ONE is rational. And only one has an immortal Soul: humanity. WHY is that?

Isaiah 43: 7 & 21 provides the very reason for humanities existence.

[7] And every one that calleth upon my name, I have created him for my glory, I have formed him, and made him. & [21] This people have I formed for myself, they shall shew forth my praise.

Thus the mystery is solved; humanity exist By and For God. We alone are able to know God through the Universe which exist primarily for this very possibility. It is then God’s hopeful expectation that man will then FREELY choose to know Him. Once one acknowledges God; one then obligates to learn all of His Truths; and freely choose to accept and live them. It is the right use of “our other self” {Living Soul, with mind, intellect and freewill} to know God and then to fully obey God. Only in this way do we fulfill the very reason God created us. The emphasis is on our “freewill” because God loves us perfectly and demands perfect love be returned to Him. Love in order to be “perfect: must be freely bestowed. We are to do things God’s way in deference to His Sovereign Rights as our Creator.

End of Pt 8 of 9

May God lead us to Him,
Patrick
