That's two clicks to get to the page where you can actually cancel your membership. I very much doubt it's a simple case of clicking a button on that page.Seems I could close my account in 2 clicks if I wanted to.
Sure there is a page explaining of of the reasons I shouldn't but that seems it.
How to cancel your Prime membership (and why you should reconsider)

I don't know if Amazon is guilty of what the FTC is suing them for but I do know that pretty much all major companies like Amazon use the same kind of tricks and misdirection to get more money out of you than you intended and will routinely skate along the edge of the consumer protection laws and regulations which apply to them when doing that.
According to this guy it took him 4 clicks to end their membership.
It took 4 confirmations to end my Amazon Prime subscription. Here's why the company would make it so hard to do.
Still doesn't seem too hard.
It's definitely time for revisions to consumer protection laws to stop unusually shady methods of deception like Amazon is doing, which is intentionally designed to get people to unwittingly purchase additional items and services they didn't ask for or want.A good article on some of the dark patterns for those interested in being a more aware customer in a late stage capitalist society:

That's still four more than it needs to be, and four more than it takes to (unintentionally) join in the first place, which is what the FTC case seems to be about.According to this guy it took him 4 clicks to end their membership.

It's not just that which is the issue. It's their sleazy ways of getting you to sign up for their Slime services. I am very aware of these sorts of annoying tricks and even I almost missed it once and signed up for something I did not want. I maybe order one thing off them a year, and every time they try the rope-a-dope into adding Slime for "free" with really annoying UI design that tries to trick you into opting in. It's not cool.
