I'm not sure I agree with that definition, Sola'lor.

Amen implies "let it be as you have said". It's not agreement, it's actually a prayer. It can be said in response to something you agree with, but the actual phrase "amen" is a prayer that God would "let it be as you have said".

I don't disagree with what you've said. I've never heard that it was a prayer. I'm sure it has a much deeper meaning than what I said. If someone is saying a group prayer and they close the prayer with the word Amen, I will say Amen because I want that prayer to apply to me. But in a non religious meaning I will also say Amen if I agree with something. For example: "That was a really good movie." "Amen."

Keep in mind, folks, to not get that confused with the common Pastafarian ending "RAmen," which means "cheap and tastes like wet wicker furniture."
