Dear Special Counsel Mueller:

I write to request information related to the Report On The Investigation Into Russian Interference In The 2016 President Election, which was recently completed by your office.

On May 1, Attorney General Barr appeared before the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary to testify about the evidence collected during the investigation and the findings described in the report. Unfortunately, on numerous occasions, Attorney General Barr was unable to speak to certain sections of the report or to the underlying evidence evaluated by your office.

I asked Attorney General Barr whether your office requested and reviewed any of the President’s personal tax documents or the Trump Organization’s financial documents. The Attorney General stated that he did not know and suggested that I ask you directly.

Unfortunately, Chairman Graham has made clear that he does not intend to call you to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Accordingly, I respectfully request that you provide answers to the following:

1) Did your office obtain and review President Trump’s personal tax returns?

a. If not, did you attempt to obtain these documents?
b. If so, what years of returns did you obtain, and were the documents complete or were any redactions made to the documents?
2) Did your office obtain and review financial statements from the Trump Organization?

a. If not, did you attempt to obtain these documents?
b. If so, what years of statements did you obtain, and were the documents complete or were any redactions made to the documents?
In addition, I respectfully request that you provide the Committee with copies of any of President Trump’s tax returns and the Trump Organization’s financial statements that were obtained by your office to aid in our evaluation of the report and its conclusions.

I don’t know what will come if this but I think it is a good thing to bypass Barr and go directly to Mueller for the answers, to these and other questions.

And Billy Barr did suggest she do this.

I think he will testify in the house, but I don’t know when. But Grahsm will not allow him in the Senate.

Makes ya think though. She is able to go to the DoJ and view the entire unredacted Mueller report. Why doesn't she go there and see for herself what tax records they have on Trump. So far only 2 Republicans has made the trip to view the full unredacted document. Curious...

No she is not. She can go and look at a less redacted version, but not completely unredacted. And I think she should.

But that is still just the report, She and other democrats are asking for the evidence and documents behind the report.

Remember when the Starr commission released the report and they drove two huge vans up to Congress filled with boxes and boxes of evidence? That is the kind of thing the Democrats are asking for. All the transcripts and documents.

That's overreaching unfortunately. I doubt it will ever happen.

I think he will testify in the house, but I don’t know when. But Grahsm will not allow him in the Senate.

I find that appalling, that Graham won't let the Senate hear from Mueller. To ignore the testimony of the man who actually did the work, and instead have it "interpreted" by somebody who basically wasn't even present for the vast majority of it, strikes me as being plain fearful of getting it from the horse's mouth. And fear of that kind at least smacks a bit of a suspicion that the truth isn't something that would actually be welcome in a Republican dominated body.
