Hi everyone.

I'm new to this site but it looks interesting, like a place for a lot of topics.

I'm Baha'i, have anyone here have heard of the baha'i faith, if you have what do you think of it?

Because I am new I don't really know if this is the appropriate section for me because we have to be careful about the word debate. Sometimes debate could mean to argue and I don't want to do that. For me this is about sharing beliefs and information and finding truths.

Thank you.
Allah'u'Abha and welcome to RF. RF is a great place to meet people from different places around the world and learn about diverse religions.

We probably have about 7 or 8 Baha'is active on this forum currently. It will be good to have you join us.

I don't make mine that way.
But it's definitely healthier than Snickers bars or Double chocolate cake or Key Lime pie or any of the other, usual, dessert options.

Woman can live on double chocolate cake alone ;-)

Address to a Haggis

'Fair fa’ your honest, sonsie face,
Great Chieftain o’ the Puddin-race!
Aboon them a’ ye tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy of a grace
As lang ‘s my arm.

The groaning trencher there ye fill,
Your hurdies like a distant hill,
Your pin wad help to mend a mill
In time o’ need,
While thro’ your pores the dews distil
Like amber bead.

His knife see Rustic-labour dight,
An’ cut ye up wi’ ready slight,
Trenching your gushing entrails bright,
Like onie ditch;
And then, O what a glorious sight,
Warm-reekin, rich!

Then, horn for horn, they stretch an’ strive:
Deil tak the hindmost, on they drive,
Till a’ their weel-swall’d kytes belyve
Are bent like drums;
Then auld Guidman, maist like to rive,
Bethankit hums.

Is there that owre his French ragout,
Or olio that wad staw a sow,
Or fricassee wad mak her spew
Wi’ perfect sconner,
Looks down wi’ sneering, scornfu’ view
On sic a dinner?

Poor devil! see him owre his trash,
As feckless as a wither’d rash,
His spindle shank a guid whip-lash,
His nieve a nit;
Thro’ bluidy flood or field to dash,
O how unfit!

But mark the Rustic, haggis-fed,
The trembling earth resounds his tread,
Clap in his walie nieve a blade,
He’ll make it whissle;
An’ legs, an’ arms, an’ heads will sned,
Like taps o’ thrissle.

Ye Pow’rs wha mak mankind your care,
And dish them out their bill o’ fare,
Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware
That jaups in luggies;
But, if ye wish her gratefu’ prayer,
Gie her a Haggis!'

Meh...I don't always wear my big boy pants. Most of the time I'm wandering around here with a clown nose on.
You shouldn't judge the fine folks on staff based on my dubious example.
But when you do wear your big boy pants, I.....

I'd rather not say, here in the introduction forum.

Hi and welcome to RF... :)
There are several regular Baha'i posters on this forum and other Baha'is who post infrequently. You will usually find us posting in the Religious Debates folder. It is okay to post what you want to there as long as you follow the RF rules.

Many of those Baha'is have been posting here longer than me (I have been here about two years) so most people on this forum know a lot about the Baha'i Faith. :)

Absolutely. It is a key component of survival in any situation
I would have explained to the OP what could have been done.
Again.
But I just got a PM from the staff, yesterday I think.
I won't be discussing anything that might be construed as violating the rule.
Because I'm a good little rule follower.

This is what I do. I am an Ahmadi peaceful Muslim. It is good to have two such persons on this RF. Welcome here, please?
A little question, if one likes to .
How many books of Bahaullah did one read in the original language Bahaullah wrote, please?

Regards

I see you have a challenge ahead, that is not to argue a point :)

But then it is said there must be a clash of differing opinions to spark what may be Truth! Learning to let go of an opinion, never easy.

Ahh. Finally Tony the World Centre has sent someone to keep us in check!! We may have to be on our best behaviour from now on!
