Okay, if you had a time machine, would you go backward or forward in time?
Or maybe you would destroy it?

I'd go backwards for sure. I'd go back to New York in the 70's. Yeah, not very far back, but that's where I'd want to be.

Good question. Many considerations should go into it before answering, though.

If you go to the past, you run the risk of interfering with the past and consequently altering the preseent, possibly even your own existence. If you go to the future, you risk discovering something that you might not want to know.

But if I had to pick, I would shoose foreward. :D

I would go back in time and warn my father that he was going to get cancer. I really would have loved him to walk me down to the altar when I would have gotten married.

well 'bout 4 years...not that long ago...
Hey, I am really sorry to hear that - but I think I can empathize. I regret things that I didn't do for my parents when they were alive - there were conversations I should have had with my father ........

I expect we all feel that way.

When I was a kid, I used to dream (not literally) of having a time machine, going back in time, laden with modern armaments, and helping out in the crusades......:D

my condolences, orichalcum...My grandmother also died 3 years ago ...but thank the Heavens, she died of old age (the beautifulest of deaths in my opinion). May we all perish that way. (well, those who want to live till they're old and wrinkly)

But I'm getting this thread to sad...change of subject...what else would I do if I could go back in time...Well, I'd go back in time 10 or 20 years and buy some stocks...Money, money, money! *greedy little me*
