When we look at radio, tv or the rise and setting of the sun, we are reaping the benefits of thousands of years of scientific discoveries of earth's physical and biological phenomenon. So goes the beginning of the book "Theories of Everything", a history of science. We have now marched onward to the latest scientific craze, simulation theory. If the ancients only knew that their version of science would come full circle they would have been all the more proud.

During the 1300s, attendance to human dissection was part of any medical school curriculum. It was Andreas Versalius who departed from Galen in his detailed observation of the human body. Renaissance physicians began to look at the human body as a system of mechanisms. This lead to the myriad of advances in medicine we enjoy today.
