Though I hear the Gantz manga is a hundred times better than the anime. (Best part about it, is even the main character isn't safe from death )

Well, I myself have only began to delve into it, but quite enjoyed these movies:

Ghost in the Shell
Steamboy
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (will have to watch the first movie of this)
Howl's Moving Castle

I've watched one or two others, which were good but not exceptional.

I am beginning to consider myself an anime convert.

Chobits, Azumanga Daioh, and I like Zero no Tsukaima, Jyu Oh Sei, and Midori no Hibi. Oh, and Ah! Megami Sama (Oh! My Goddess)

Though, many of these aren't shojo.

Shojo: 少女 - more or less, "young girl", and refers to anime targeted to that audience - they tend to be romance - but I just read and most of the ones that me and some others considered shojo turned out not to be. D'oh! (Ones that are are things like Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura, and I don't like these!)

So I guess my statement is wrong.

Just checked out the categories, and I've gotta say, I dunno now! Hm. Just romantic-comedy anime?

Shojo can be good. And like me say, that if you don't like Sailor Moon or Cardcaptor Sakura it's most likely because of the English version done by Dic. ...... I hate Dic.
