A group of progressive Christians in the US have launched a new political movement to counter what they describe as the power of the religious right.



The Christian Alliance for Progress aims to "reclaim Christianity" :162: and influence the political agenda. "We can no longer stand by and watch people speak hatred, division, war and greed in the name of our faith,:jam: " said Patrick Mrotek, the Alliance's founder.

Not surprising at all. The Bible belt has a high percentage of voters. Politicians go where the votes are at. Even if they don't agree. Simply sad.....
