"One person has died and 21 people were wounded in a shooting in Missouri at the end of the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory parade.
Officials said they treated eight victims who were in immediately life-threatening condition and seven others who had suffered injuries that could prove life-threatening.
Nine children were among the wounded - all are expected to recover."

Yes, I laughed to read about this.

I'd be tempted to have a small side bet on it being some MAGA nutcase - with a GUN, naturally - who's bought the latest über-nutso conspiracy, about Taylor Swift and her man's team being tools of Biden to ensure his re-election. :laughing:

It seems not saying anything about the suspects or motive, but they've apparently taken 3 suspects into custody.

A law enforcement source told CBS News, the BBC's US partner, that the shooting appeared to be the result of an argument that turned violent. The source said it was not terrorism-related.

It's wild to me that someone without any particular plans to do a mass shooting that day could just happen to have on hand a weapon capable of shooting 22 people in the heat of the moment.

Yeah, a lot of gun violence is rather impulsive like that. A lot of hotheads out there with guns. I generally assume that any given person I encounter is probably armed.
