I love guns.

Those are the tools that help defend myself and my family.

They are also fun to shot.

Why is anyone surprised at this?
America's right to bear arms is strongly supported, obviously the British could attack any time now!
So why get upset over this obvious consequence?
Sad but it goes with the territory.

It's amazing how much we Americans hate ourselves and our children.

Dang, six times higher than Canada. It would appear we have a problem with gun violence. We need to invest in more guns to get the number lower.

Geez look at Japan. There must be guns everywhere over there to have so little gun violence. They probably have guns on their guns that shoot tiny guns for ammunition. That's the only logical explanation for that. Yup, more guns is the only thing that solves a problem with gun violence.

BTW, this was sarcasm in case you couldn't tell.
Gun rights people: this is how you sound.

It probably doesn't have anything to do with gun laws, perhaps the fact that the US is a very mixed culture because it is a relatively new country (to europeans).

Just a suggestion.

It is sad that such things happen, but it can hardly be a surprise at this point.

I am always surprised that a more serious effort at regulating firearms does not fly in the USA even as such things happen, though.

America is much older than Israel or Australia.

EDIT: Nvm, freethinker said the same thing.

That's largely because we have this problem in the US, Luis. :(

It seems fairly obvious that the USA have a high incidence of gun violence because guns are both readily and widely available and also culturally perceived as legitimate, even favored tools of expression of values, both at the individual and national levels.

That's OK....... so you, a US citizen, are comfortable with the situation in the US. That's cool.

But please........ don't keep complaining about cops drawing or touching their guns during every approach to any person, whether it be a driving violation or a more serious crime. We watch reality cop programmes in the UK and your cops have to be ready for a gun-attack nearly all the time.

You want your cake ..... and eat it as well..... :)

I definitely mentioned that post was sarcastic. I actually don't want more guns. I was just trying to highlight how ridiculous it is when people say the solution to "people bring guns to schools" is to have more people bring guns to schools.

Well, those programs might claim to be "reality" but they are far from it. Statistically most jobs in the US are more dangerous than being a police officer. Don't buy into the propaganda.
