they refer to the worldwide biblical one.
Of course there have been many lesser floods.

That is evidence for a flood. And it could have been the flood that inspired the Noah's Ark myth. Do you understand that myths are often inspired by real world events? That flood is not evidence for the Noah's Ark story.

No, there is no evidence for worldwide catastrophes while man has been alive. The last worldwide catastrophe was caused by an asteroid strike about 65 million years ago.

Since the title of this thread is Antarctica and now you have shifted to the mythological flood of Noah, I have one question for you:
Does ice float in your world?
If it does Antarctica alone refutes the worldwide flood myth. The ice on Antarctica has been there for longer than man has been on the Earth. A worldwide flood would have caused destruction to the icecap:

There are multiple tools for dating the icecaps, form counting layers to radiometric dating. It has not been disturbed and that refutes the flood myth. But then we knew there was no flood long before that time. By the early 1800's there was no doubt that there was no flood.
