Listen dude, there is a difference between stating my opinion while calling you a foolish person just for the fact I disagree or don't like what you say and having the same debate without resorting to such stuff. If you and others want to turn the whole thing into insults and name calling, then we would never be able to have a good debate and I am certainly out.

if you do not believe calling homosexuals abhorrent abominations to be insulting. then why would my pointing out that such a belief to be irrational & uncivilized be insulting? if expressing myself honestly is insulting to you, then you shouldnt be here. but i do agree with your last line. any belief that is in opposition to the fact that homosexuals are human beings like any other & should be treated as such, is uncivilized. and if that isnt what you believe, then you (& any other people who believe the same as you) are uncivilized. if you find that insulting, too bad.

then how would any homosexual be punished in islam? why would there ever be 4 eye witnesses unless those witnesses went looking for homosexuals having sex? and if those 4 people sought it out, then why should the homosexuals be punished? ive yet to hear a single case of a homosexual being convicted & executed because anyone witnessed him/her having homosexual sex. in every case it has simply been the fact that they were suspected of being homosexual. so you argument has no validity.

What confuses me is why people have such strong sentiments against homosexual people. You might disapprove of someone's actions but why hate? Why kill? Why do so many people have so much hate? I have always viewed hate as a sign of being far from God or far from psychological health.
Now we have eselam in another thread talking about how being a Muslim means that one should be kind and respectful to all humans. This seems quite a contradiction considering the laws to kill homosexuals in a number of Muslim countries. I just don't understand the Muslim way of thinking.

No, there is a difference between calling a Muslim member foolish and criticizing the ideas of Islam. There is a difference between calling a homosexual member abhorrent and criticizing homosexuality itself. And it seems you are unable to recognize this difference.

when you believe that only good pious muslims to be human, there is no contradiction in saying that "being a Muslim means that one should be kind and respectful to all humans". and in the case of eselam & many other RF muslims, this certainly seems to be the case.

I don't hate Muslims. I don't even hate your ideas. I simply disagree with some of them.

I do not know how to distinguish between a 'true' Muslim as I do not know what a 'true' Muslim is. All I have is examples of behaviour and attitudes from muslims that I come into contact with. What I have been able to establish is that Muslims in general do not condone mass killing and terrorism, generally speaking.
