Believe it our not. The help was late in coming because America and Europe did not want to get in another war. The American people needed to be fooled to go to Iraq and that was only possible because of 9/11.

No one asked the americans to fight for the bosnians or any one else...i was refering to the prevention of the bosnians from getting weapons in the name of *preventing both fighting parties * ignoring the fact that there are no fighting parties...but one fighting party and another unarmed party being massacred

It seems to me we all must have a high regard for the truth. Goodness is goodness even if our opponents do it. I don't think the U.S is responsible for all the wrong in the world...but yet ,i don't think she speaks up or does anything against any wrong in the world unless it serves pure american interets....and the only exception to this rule is supporting Israel

You also talk about us buying people off. It's true it happens all over the world including America. The fact is that if people are offered a chance to be wealthy and secular or religious and poor. Most people will be secular this is a fact.

I like living in a secular country, it provides me with less religious corruption. I am able to live my life of faith in a more pure way.I can also tell you that many Muslims in America feel the same way

-You don't know what companies are mining the Gold. Maybe a non US company will get the bid.
-What percentage is going back to the people of kosovo.
-If they have even mined any gold yet?

One more problem with this war for profit theory of yours.
For us to fight a war it is very expensive. Each smart bomb costs millions of dollars. I can tell you for sure. It costs more for us to fight in kosovo then there is gold in kosovo.

no you don't understand, the US goverment owns a part of kosovos land. so maybe some non-US company may mine it, but the US gets the prophit.

what smart bomb? we just used a couple of fighter jets and thats about it. maybe we baught them rather than borrow them. have you read anything about the UCK, (albanian liberation army or kosovo liberation army?) they did all the work. not your bombs.

I agree. The U.S. record in world affairs is mixed--sometimes good, sometimes evil, sometimes dumb, occasionally great. The U.S. is doing its best to further American interests as we see them. Every once in a while we take some action on behalf of someone else's interest, but usually only if we think it serves ours. We've often supported dictators and others whose values we claim to despise. We've overthrown democratically elected leaders if we thought they opposed our interests.

As countries go, I'd rate the U.S. maybe slightly above average in foreign affairs. I give us a C.

I can tell you that there are many sources for the news that would report it. Many of us on the left are more then willing to print this type of thing. Just American mass media is the problem. I knew about the American torture of prisinors well before Abu Ghraib came to the light of day.

Let me start out by saying that I believe that oil was one of the main motives for going to war. The developed world has an oil addiction, a safe oil supply is what our economies are based on. We are willing to do anything to keep the oil flowing. We are not willing to go to the mat for the Gold of Kosovo but oil is a different story.

I believe the the situation is much worse then the America government enriching it self on iraqi oil. The the amount of corruption in iraq is staggering. No body knows were all the oil money is going. I believe that American private contractors, corrupt Iraqi officials and Oil Companies are stealing he money from the Iraqi people. This is the fault of the American Government and we are responsible for this mess. Once more the American people voted in the village idiot to run this war ( bush) This problem is not do to our abilities to exploit others it is due to our incompetence.

We bombed the hell out of serbs. We blow up there bridges, military base's, ect. Yes your freedom fighters did the ground work with American Air Support. Each bomb costs millions of dollars.( some missiles like the ones to blow up radar cost up to 100 million each) A stealth bomber costs 1 billion each. Why do you think they were able to win? They had radios to call in American air support.

I come from a military family. I follow this stuff closely. I don't agree with the use of force I just find it interesting.

no they were not sent by the governments because those governmets do as the US says, so the individuals had to come on their own choice. it wasn't a handfull, there were many. we already lost atleast 8000 people due to the dutch army, and i believe they are saying we lost it due to a number of soldiers being homosexual. thats a shocka isn't it?

in kosovo we weren't loosing any battle, we actually wanted to expand the battle fild into macedonia, the albanian army destroyed tanks and some of their military bases in macedonia, but they moved back in fear of us albanians who were living in macedonia.

On Feb 17th, 2008, the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government Assembly of Kosovo declared independence.
