I propose that materialism is an unsupported, faith based position.
Really? When did that happen? After yet another Materialist refused to support or defend their position, I figured I'd make it an open invitation. Just let me know!

You said "materialist" can't you follow a conversation? I never claimed to be a materialist. I pointed out that error of yours in the other thread. And yes, I remember the conversation that you did not understand. The one where you made a positive assertion and could not support it therefore losing the debate. With you in the other thread silly, is your memory alright? Remember the whole "we can reject things without evidence" discussion where you were asked dozens of times to show any evidence supports materialism and couldn't?
Of course you do.

In a debate one must be ready to support one's claims. You were unable to do that. It is why you lost and I have no interest in debating you. I do not mind correcting you. That I will probably be doing for quite some time.
Did support my claim. Reported for trolling AGAIN and harrassment, and blocked.
The narrative.or the reality? I mean are we talking about perceptions or are we arguing semantics?I propose that materialism is an unsupported, faith based position.

Yep that's the problem I edited my post a bit btw to clarify what I was trying to get to. Definitely I am alluding to straw man/strawman!!!! It can cut both ways strawman arguing with straw man. One strawman says look no gaps, the other straw man says look gaps!!!I think that we are dealing with a strawman definition here. I have not seen a well defined version of the term yet from the OP.
He appears to be asking for a definition. As I have. Link please. Are we now pretending materialism isn't a position?
I guess I would ask a question here to get clarity. After yet another Materialist refused to support or defend their position, I figured I'd make it an open invitation. Just let me know!

Are you asking if the material (world), what we see, touch, smell, etc. is what is the only thing that is real, and only what is real to us is desired over any other thing(s) the mind can conceive?
Material is the physical. Spirit is the spiritual. They are separate. Some are convinced only the material exists.
Am I getting this correct?
What drives materialists crazy is that consciousness cannot be seen, tasted, smelled, touched, heard, or studied in a laboratory. But how could it be otherwise? Consciousness is the very thing that is DOING the seeing, the tasting, the smelling, etc… We define material objects by their effect upon our senses – how they feel in our hands, how they appear to our eyes. But we know consciousness simply by BEING it!Are we now pretending materialism isn't a position?

2+2, isn’t. 10x10, isn’t. Germany and Japan were defeated in WWII, isnt. All positions are faith-based positions, since all facts are based in faith.

This thread topic is s classic srawman.
I defy anyone to find such a person as thinks
only "material" things exist
"Spiritual" means, what?
Math is not a material thing. Nobody
will attempt to show it does not exist.
