What do you love doing ? I mean, apart from web conversations, and obviously studying and practicing dharma, what is a fantastic day for you ?

A hike in the mountains without being bitten by the mosquitos would be an excellent day.

In a study of all religious and philosophical terminology what similarities between two or more religions have you found to be surprising?

I'm surprised quite a bit. I find something at least once a week in this regard. Carl Jung's archetypes of the collective unconscious and Joseph Campbell's comparative mythology provide a common framework to compare and contrast different concepts.

Did you know that you can rub fresh garlic on your skin and they will leave you alone ? I love garlic. It's better than 10 mothers. (Old saying)

For a car-automatic. (I'm used to having the clutch as a hand control and the gears as a foot control on motorcycles. Don't like clutchy feet or shifty hands. I'm more of a shifty feet-clutchy hands type.)
You ride bikes ! Cool. So do I. I ride a Yammy R15. Small urban racer. Apparently it's good for older men to ride bikes. Maintains testosterone levels and cognitive function. And it's fun. Obviously. What do you, or did you, ride ?
BTW... I'm not 36. My 'birthday' on my profile is the day I took refuge. I'm 60.

In my Order, we are non-Abrahamic, and take the western alchemical view of Lucifer. Lucifer is our fallen everyday consciousness that needs to be purified into the Logos, or Mercurian consciousness. To translate this into Buddhist terms, a Lucifer can be roughly equated to an unenlightened Bodhisattva, whereas an awakened and purified Lucifer (Mercurian) can be roughly equated to an Arahant.

Sorry, you have it all wrong, a Lucifer is a Mara in Buddhist terms, you can't be a Buddhist and follow Mara.

Mara is the collective herd mentality that you need to guard against and think for yourself. This requires actually examining the information instead of relying on collectivist propaganda. :)
