I like apples without dip but...

Tarte Tarin is delicious, it is an apple tarte but cooked upsidedown in caramel.

Like those candy apples at the County Fair?

Oh the nostalgia, and yep the caramel did really does make a difference on the Apple as well as the red candy as well. Delicious.

Without, except at Autumn Equinox in celebration of the harvest.

There's a local apple orchard that supplies most of the apples around here (well, the good ones anyway) and they do caramel apples around Autumn Equinox. Once you have really good caramel apples it's hard to eat any other kind. So I get it from them once a year as part of celebrations.
