I believe in order to do that (imitate Paul) one would have to become a born-again Christian. Can you say you have done that?
If you mean by " born again" having accepted Christ as my Savior, the answer is yes. All of Jws have done this, but being born again involves much more than that. Paul was not talking about being born again at Ephesians 5:1,2 when he urged Christians to be imitators of God. Rather, he urged them to "go on walking in love, just as the Christ also loved us and gave himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice, a sweet fragrance to God." The context of Paul's words to "become imitators of me, even as I am of Christ" shows he was referring to his concern for others;,"Therefore, whether you are eating or drinking or doing anything else, do all things for God’s glory. Keep from becoming causes for stumbling to Jews as well as Greeks and to the congregation of God, just as I am trying to please all people in all things, not seeking my own advantage, but that of the many, so that they may be saved. Become imitators of me, just as I am of Christ."1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1)
I find that many who claim to be born again are not imitators of God or Christ in displaying genuine love for others, nor in living a godly and righteous life.
