Are Love and Prayer Related?

I believe prayer is not an entity in itself. Prayer is talking to the One who is Love.

Love is a feeling, an emotion. Prayer is an act, like meditation. I don't see how they can be the related.

Prayer can be an act of love, but isn't necessarily so. It depends what we are praying about...

I know some people who have prayed for some very un-loving things.
The death of the 'enemy' for example.

good question... what makes a prayer?

is it the format? Is it the dependant on being nice?

are military chaplins that ask god to protect thier solders while helping them kill the 'enemy' really praying or are they doing something elce? (a sort of a religious pep-rally?)
