Why does man do what he does? Are his actions completely controlled by the physical laws of the universe? If not, what other sources effect his behavior?

It seems untestable.
People do what they do because of a good percentage of our genes have a strong influence on our behavior. Simple things like sexual orientation are genetic, but more complex things like intelligence must have a biological basis to flourish. A very large percentage, and probably well over 50%, is dictated by our very culture. Language is the most basic function of society, and it reflects things of importance to a culture. Culture even gives births to some mental illnesses, decides what our biological sexual urges are attracted to (or at least supposed to be attracted to), and can make the "testosterone fueled aggression" in men nuetralized and make men very passive and non-aggressive. Culture can also make the "caring, tender, and nurturing woman" into a fierce warrior. And enough of a percentage to allow enough free thought to not only figure things like this out, but behave and act like no other animal on this planet. Sometimes were better off, but usually worse off.Why does man do what he does? Are his actions completely controlled by the physical laws of the universe? If not, what other sources effect his behavior?

Now you've done it! When thou invokest logic, thou must show us thine premises & reasoning.I would agree that it is untestable but all logic points to No.
Electromagnetism, mostly, but also the nuclear force. What physical law of the universe conceived of this post?
