I say no.

Some people seem lazy...but we can't see what's going on, fully. Perhaps they're spending time on unproductive activities... but still, activities nonetheless.

I'd say people are more likely to misdirect energy than be directly lazy.

Maybe not in general, but as we enter those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer, perhaps we can give it a try.

No. I've found that people are mostly industrious. Typically, lazy just means people don't like taking on really hard tasks, maybe they don't take on much responsibility or just have a public confidence issue. Behind the scenes they're still always busy doing something.

Considering how overpopulated the world is, I wouldn't say the world is lazy.
I'd say that it's a restless, and continuous mating. So much effort. :)

Thank you,

Someone once told me if you want something done quickly and efficiently, give it to a lazy person. They'll find a quick, efficient way of doing it.

Kind of worked out in my job. Assuming people were lazy, I'd develop quick and efficient manufacturing processes for my company.

Hmm...lazy seems to imply that someone willingly does nothing all day cuz they dont want to do anything. Thing is most the time folk aren't lazy folk just use the term to insult folk for not always working 24/7 or and ignore struggles due to disability and other needs.

My thing is...are folks really lazy or do we just live in a capitalistic society that places value on working and never stopping to care for yourself or resting? That puts value on what you can do not on inherent human worth. Which demonizes disabled folk the elderly and sometimes even kids because of struggling to keep up with our fast paced always have to do things to be valued in society. Having to prove your worth rather then it be inherently there

The term lazy seems to a result of valuing human work over human needs...if you need proof of this ask a depressed person who can't get out of bed due to mental illness if they feel folk may find them lazy for laying in bed to rest.

Couldn't really answer yes or no but I think perhaps many or even most have a tendency towards laziness - as to thinking and/or choosing the easy ways so often - especially as to avoiding work, whether physical or mental. o_O

None of the poll choices reflects my view.

Lazy as compared to what?

An ant? Probably.
A tree sloth? Probably not.

'Lazy,' like many other descriptives, is relative.

The question is akin to asking, "In general, are human beings tall?"
