When you like what someone has posted, you give them a frubal. It's the thing between your post number and the report button on the right side of the screen. Getting certain numbers of frubals unlocks various board features like having a signature and making visitor messages on people's profiles. I think 20 frubals lets you have a sig. Good luck!

Minors in the UK can give consent to sex, as long as they are 16yrs.

I have arrested (Detained. Margate. 1991) a paedophile during my working life, and the man (about 55-60 years) seemed to have the mental age of about 8-10 years. Ergo..... he was (in his mindset) associating with his own age group.. Question:- Would you have liked to shoot him?

It's like all those homophobic preachers and politicians who rant and rave against gays and then are caught having gay sex. I guess everyone has their "dirty little secret" They project their self-hatred onto others. I think that all or most forms of hatred are really rooted in self-hatred..

No I would compare that to legalizing bestiality. I seriously doubt the orientation thing, but even if it isn't some fetish, animals and children cannot give informed consent. I would say the same of same-sex if they were not consenting adults.

Exactly, that's my point. They are fantasizing about something they understand can not exist in the real world. Try telling me you've never done that yourself. That is why the majority of pedophiles never touch up kids. Those who fail to understand that children can not consent might end up molesting, but they're in the minority.

Ugh, no, not really.

I guess my previous comment was more of a knee-jerk emotional reaction to something which I honestly do not know the solution for.

As other posters have suggested, it does make sense to try and encourage people with the urges to come forward and seek professional help. To be honest though, I'd rather them seek help whilst confined in a secure facility - where they cannot do any harm.

What's the best solution, no idea.

1-i find pedophilia disgusting. More so than zoophilia

2-technically speaking, we cant assert all children become traumathized by this. I am also sure this wouldnt be e case on a culture that was different than most western cultures. At the end of the day, its stimulation of nerve endings, and that's it. Yes, its disgusting, but it doesnt mean it will always be disgusting to the kid (I felt attraction to women for the first time in my memory at 9 years old looking a three stooges episode with giant women on little clothing) qnd if it is nt disgusting to the kid nir the adult and no one tells the kid something horrrible has happened, or that they have lost something so precious they will never get back, or that the adult was "taking advatange" of them doing something horrible to them.... Well, the kid might never "find out" how hurt s/he is.

3-yes, its disgusting and I more rather it nt be legalized, mostly cause I find it disgusting.
