Are we getting too lazy

We Never Know

No Slack
I have...a few examples...
Trucks.. Remote start, remote stereo, power windows, power locks, etc.
House.. TV remote, surround remote, bluray remote, heat/air remote, fans remote, etc

We are getting too dependant/accustomed to power everything and remote everything. Does this make us lazy?

I don't know if I think it makes us lazy, but I do think it makes us more vulnerable in a way. Not only because the more electronic components that can fail, the more they will.
But also danger from easy ways for corporations to insert planned obsolescence. Sell electronic equipment designed to wear out and be replaced faster.

Those things are for the non-lazy.
Much work to learn to use and fix them.

I think it's a measure of how lazy we have become that we now measure laziness in terms of whether or not we use remotes to control these appliances, rather than whether or not we use too many of these labour-saving machines in the first place. We use cars too much, for a start. But in many modern communities their use is baked in, in the layout and location.

No, because we now have to work 60 hours a week to afford that truck with all those silly accommodations.

Not if you use the extra time for other things.

We expect everything to be at fingertip's length and at a moment's notice. That's not healthy, IMO. We need to stop and smell the roses and know how to get through adversity. Our first world problems are so miniscule compared to what other countries are going through.
