Hi folks... I'm not exactly new to this religious forum but I've never really introduced myself until now. Let me start by saying I believe only in reality, I hate all religions except buddhism (there does seem some sense in parts of the buddhist faith) and a few that I may not know about at this present time. I use the handle name of 'tetra' only because of my love of tropical fish. I am also registered at many atheist sites but my main site is the wonderful 'The Brights' site (web address is www.the-brights.net) a must for all non-believers. The brights have been going for sometime now and is beginning to become known all around the world. At last all non-believers will have a chance to question all faiths around the one table, to give us folk a word on the so called panels that lay down our laws. To listen to our point of view, our feeling over many matters and to become as equal in live as anyone else.

I hope to join in many of the topics within this forum as many interest me greatly. If you would like my 10% on any topic I would try (or like) to join in 'if I can'.
Thanks for reading the above, there is so many topics going on I feel I need to have a good look around before posting any new thread...see you soon tetra

PS: Well worth going to the brights site

Hi Tetra;

I am sorry you 'hate all religions' - any special reason for that ?

Whatever you think, you know that you are welcome here - there are many atheists among us, so you won't feel out on a limb.

I loo forward to seeing your posts, and I hope you get to like it here.:)

Hello and welcome, Tetra! (Tropical fish, eh? So beautiful!) I'm sure that you'll be able to respect the other religions and paths on this site, even if you might disagree with them.

If you'd like, there's a welcoming article for newer members over here (http://www.religiousforums.com/forum/article.php?a=38). Please let me know if you see anything that you would like added to make it more helpful.

Namaste, if it pleases you!

Oy vey!

I guess my personal belief regarding 'Brights' has always been that anyone drawn to such a name has no taste, but I could be wrong. ;) Out of curiosity, why Brights rather than, e.g., Humanists?

I've never been sure about the 'Brights' name myself but if you go to the site you should be able to find your answer. It's really based on the same level as the word 'Gay' is used today. Whatever the name is though, the idea is to represent all the superstitions and myths etc under one roof...Tetra

So Tetra, what made you choose to become a bright? Are you a member or any other non-theist organization?

Religion is based on one thing only, to control. It dictates how one should live by rules that must be followed. Rules invented by dictators to get their own way. To me religion is no different to nazism and that needs to be hated. I have many reasons why I hate religion but if religion was fair to all, put love before all other things and solid based maybe I'll change my mind?

Solid Based: Absolute proof of a god with simple and very clear rules to follow. But more than anything else, life must be precious beyond all else...Tetra

Reason I'm a bright? that's easy....

I only believe what is real....being a bright covers all myths: religion, UFO's, dragons, fairies and ghosts etc. No proof what-so-ever

I think those theists who follow religions which are different than you described might be describe their path a little differently.
