Er... Diet, religion, being childfree, being leftist in politics (though my ideal is a resource based economy), having interests that aren't exactly mainstream (IRL internet doesn't count), not interested in celebrities/gossip/trends and so on. There's a bit too much to list and I wish I could clarify certain things but I'm tired.
I'm a LOT more vocal about them online than IRL though because I don't like confrontation and there's no use arguing. But I'm not actively participating in those things, so you could say I "boycott" those things by not showing any interest or participating. Might make me seem cold and quiet but it's how I prefer to do things rather than argue. If I'm with more receptive people, closer people, I might tell them my thoughts and why I think them. But debates make me uncomfortable, discussions are fine.
As for your next questions, I'm non-conforming in a lot ways. Basically came from reflecting on my values and looking for evidence. I read a lot of different point of views online and in books. Reflected some more. There's things like data, statistics and scientific research that helped me form my conclusions.
So basically, it's a mixture of my own personal values, reading and reflecting. I try to also keep an open mind about other possibilities. I have changed my mind about things I used to disagree with or agree with. I just need some strong arguments and a lot of time to dedicate to self-reflection and trying to put myself in other's shoes to see their perspective.
