Just wondering how many Christian pastors or ministers are members of RF.

If so, what's your denominational affiliation?

I'm an ordained Baptist myself, currently attending a divinity school. I'm in my last year (praise Jesus!!), and I've been involved in ministry for the past 10 years as a youth minister and supply preacher/music minister. Perhaps next year I'll be teaching at a seminary or pastoring a church.

Every worthy male of the LDS church holds the same priesthood authority that the apostles hold. thier calling, or office may be different. So technically every worthy male in our church is ordained a "minister" but quarum leaders, bishops, stake presidents, area authorities and general authorities are "called" to that position.

Are you required to wear a uniform and do you have a picture of yourself that you can share with us?

I am a ordained minister with the Universal Harmony Foundation. It is a inter-denomination affiliation.

The ministers adhere to a Christian Science

From Wikipedia:
Christian Science is a religious teaching regarding the efficacy of spiritual healing according to the interpretation of the Bible by Mary Baker Eddy, in her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (first published in 1875).

Christian Science should not be confused with material or physical science. Christian Science has no connection with Scientology, and is distinct from Christian fundamentalism.

I have been a minister with the Universal Harmony Foundation for nine years now.

LOL!! (I already saw that one) No, you know what I mean. I mean do you have a picture wearing....you know..the thing. Your collar....

HAHA. No, I don't have a collar (yet). I've chosen not to wear one for the time being, because I'm a scholar and not a pastor. I may wear one when I am a professor.

Could I ask what degrees/diplomas/doctorates/masters you have/need to reach this professor goal?

I have: AA in English, BA in religion, MA in biblical studies, soon will have a Phd in New Testament.

If you want to be a prof, you need a Phd.

I think the fountain head from whence many of our ministers come has been poisened with the exception of a few, Churches would be better off cutting off these cancers from the route and electing members from within who are spiritually gifted as teachers and are recognised as so.

You mean seminaries run by churches? Perhaps I agree, having been intimately familiar with part of ministerial training in a variety of denominations for the past 11 years. There are certainly some bad apples, but that happens with the more people who have their hands in the cookie jar. I've seen seminaries completely destroyed by the power-lust of a few, and some have horrible leadership but magnificent teachers, and some are vice-versa.

Churches would be better off cutting off these cancers from the route and electing members from within who are spiritually gifted as teachers and are recognised as so.

That's what ordination essentially is in most Protestant churches. However, Protestants have a major problem in that they want their ministers to interpret the Bible with them (and perhaps for them), and in order to do that, they need to be educated, and thinking has proven to be fatal for Protestantism.

I don't agree that they need to be educated, certainly not in the way that passes for education now, some of the most gifted preachers and teachers of the past have been without any kind of formal education, they were just full of the Holy Ghost.
Take John Bunyan, his works have born so much fruit and he held his own theologically in court and in prison under interrogation, John Owen said he was one of the best theologians he had read, he was just a poor man who was converted and the regenerating power of God equipped him for God's purpose. I disagree that thinking has proven fatal to protestantism, but applying the wisdom of the world above Christ the Wisdom of God has.
