Do you not consider what might have happened to others in society? Or policies that might affect the whole world?

No, because I don't pretend to know what effect they have had on others. I know what the media reports but I also know that the media likes to sensationalize things.

IMO, a person shouldn't be depending on the POTUS or the Fed for their wellbeing.

So pulling out of the WHO? No opinion?

What effect do you think that will have?
"The US government has said that it will not participate in a global initiative to develop, manufacture and equitably distribute a vaccine for Covid-19 because the effort is co-led by the World Health Organization.

The Covid-19 Vaccines Global Access Facility (Covax) is a plan developed by the WHO, along with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and is meant to accelerate the development and testing of a vaccine and work toward distributing it equally. The WHO announced last month that more than 170 countries were in talks to participate in Covax."

The vote may be a bit skewed since all the people in other countries will have to vote no. So it won't reflect fully on US voters.

But I think it doesn't really change the overall results too much, either.

I never actually voted.

Yes, we know the US/Trump has decided not to support the WHO. What effect do you think it will have? Me. I don't know how this will affect things. May work out better, may work out worse, may work out the same. However, since we can't go back and alter the past, the truth of this is something that will never be known. So hey, opinions. Everyone is entitled to one.

If you literally cannot tell what effect government policies have on anybody's life, then on what basis are you casting your votes?
Or do you just not vote in the first place?

I've never seen a man so unconcerned about stepping on every holy toe he comes in contact with. The man has balls of steel. I find Trump to be the most entertaining president in U.S. history... For that he gets my vote.

Is he doing good things?

Given that I'm Canadian, I won't but voting.

But if I were, I'd vote for 330,000,000 other Americans before I'd vote for Trump. Whether I'm a fan of Biden or not isn't important, but I do believe strongly that Biden will help to restore of sense of normality to the nation (once the breast-beating, hair-pulling, sackcloth and ashes for poor Donald have been gotten over with),

That alone would give the US 4 more years in which both parties could look a little more deeply into their souls, and find real leadership on both sides of the political spectrum. I would not call Harris or anyone a shoe-in for the Democrats next time around (though I'm certain Biden won't run), but the Republicans really need to take an immense step back, send McConnell to the woodshed, and think hard about who they really are.

I vote for limited government. The more power you give the government, the more dependent you are on who is in office at the time.

You must have a really weird theory of political governance. As I peruse history, it does seem to me that how a people are governed (or how they govern themselves) has an absolutely immense effect on happiness and achievement both (and on misery and loss).

Ok, but I'm not getting what you mean.

Staff deleted it for some reason; I don't know. I think it had to relate to my OP. I think it was finding those who agree with trump by vote. Most people don't like trump, so maybe it was a bit off. I just came back and saw it gone.

Wait. I found it. I think yours was deleted?

Well, not everyone falls with everyone else by public majority opinion.

A lot of people follow the majority opinion; but, not everyone does. Some people are a bit more skeptical and others take a bit to think about what's happening before they decide.

But I don't know what it was in reference to since the post is gone.
