Are you happy? If so, why? If not, why not?

Happy? Well, these past few years have seemed to me the happiest of my life. Why? I don't know, but I suspect it has to do with many things. For instance: The quality of my relationships with my family and close friends is much better now than when I was young. Again, for several reasons, I am living much truer to myself these days than I did decades ago. If anything is missing from my life -- anything that might make me even happier -- perhaps it is a greater sense of purpose or mission. I have that to some extent, but I sometimes think I would be a bit happier if it were to a greater extent.
I'm glad things have gotten better for you. :)

The soul. Or spirit. Whichever term you prefer.
I'd ask more questions, but I shouldn't really derail the thread.
If it eases your conscience though, even if some other soul "consented" for you, it still made that pre-emptive decision for you before your current self was born and could consent. So I don't necessarily think you've messed up some predetermined path.

I meant screwed up in terms of "wtf was I thinking when I consented to this?".

Fair enough. Although given the err. . . . "design" of such a belief (that a previous soul of your's made the decision for you), I guess there's no way of knowing what exactly said "soul" was thinking at the time.

Can I ask what your purpose is?
